What is the difference between
maintenance and repair?
Maintenance is work done a scheduled basis to keep an automobile properly running. Examples of maintenance could be rotating tires, changing your oil, brakes, transmission services, coolant services, hoses, spark plugs, spark plug wires and air filters. Check your owners manual for a complete list and recommended intervals for your vehicle.
Repair is work done on parts that have failed that need replacing for an automobile to properly run. Repairs may be covered by a warranty or they may be parts you are responsible to replace.
